Birch Student Council members partnered with Merrick Kiwanis Club and The Little Saint Nick Foundation to collect toys for families in need this holiday season.
Teachers Jessica Giovino and Debra Vernice serve as faculty advisers for the Student Council.
Founded by Ray Mohler at age 6 in 2004, the nonprofit organization aims to “inspire kids to help kids in and out of hospitals.”
