Byram Hills and Briarcliff High School Baseball teams recently joined forces for a meaningful cause, partnering to host a “Hope At Bat” fundraiser in support of the American Cancer Society. The event was not only a competitive day on the diamond but also a heartfelt show of unity and purpose.
Leading up to the game, players from both teams took time to learn about the impact of cancer and the critical role of research and advocacy. They helped spread awareness by sharing their fundraising pages on social media and encouraging community support. Fans can still donate to the cause by visiting each team’s campaign page:

During the game, a moving moment of silence was held as players raised banners honoring loved ones impacted by cancer. It was a powerful reminder of why this effort matters and how sports can inspire change.
This initiative reflects the players’ commitment not only to excellence on the field but also to making a meaningful impact off it. With each donation, each tribute, and each shared story, Byram Hills and Briarcliff are helping bring hope to families fighting cancer—one game at a time.
