Members of the Carle Place Key Club has been busy volunteering throughout the community. Recently, they helped at the annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast and spent time bringing Valentine’s Day joy to UPK students.
On Feb. 9, members of the Carle Place Key Club dedicated their morning to giving back by volunteering at the annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast. This annual fundraiser, hosted by the Mineola County Seat Kiwanis, supports various community initiatives. The Mineola County Seat Kiwanis plays a vital role in assisting the Carle Place Key Club through generous donations, volunteer coordination and ongoing mentorship, fostering a strong partnership in service and leadership.
On Feb. 11, members of the Carle Place High School Key Club and Student Organization volunteered in the UPK classroom, bringing Valentine’s Day joy to the young learners. They organized a special lesson, starting with reading “How to Catch a Loveosaurus.” After the story, the students helped the UPK children create fun crafts and participate in an energetic movement break. This hands-on experience fostered meaningful connections, allowing both the high school and UPK students to interact, learn and grow together.
