Administrators, board of education members, students, staff and families once again showed their generosity as they wrapped and filled tables with gifts for 220 individuals in the large board room of Levittown Memorial Education Center on Dec. 17. As part of the Levittown Public Schools’ annual Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program, toys, food, books, clothing, household items and more were donated to neighbors in need this holiday season.
The program which is now in its tenth year and organized by Esta Lachow and Gina Interdonato, allows anyone in the district community to adopt a family or individual and donate wanted or needed items which are then organized, wrapped and delivered to them for the holidays.
“It’s amazing as always to see this support,” said Lachow.
