The East Quogue School raised $9,598 for the American Heart Association through the annual Kids Heart Challenge program. Most of the fundraising was done online through the month of February. However, students increased their heart health throughout the month through participation in several physical education challenges.
Students in grades 3-6 tried their hands at stations called Knock Out, Super Shooter 6, the All Skills Obstacle Course and Hot Streak. Younger students in grades K-2 competed in the Super Shooter 6, Dribble Thief, Practice Shot and the Rebounder Station activities.
Not only did the students successfully raise funds for heart health and research, but they also increased their physical stamina and heart health knowledge for years to come.
