Elwood Middle School’s Knights take Polar Bear Plunge for charity

December 19, 2022 By Team Up 4 Community Leave a Comment

The Elwood Knights’ team of six students from Elwood Middle School – Aiden Harrison, Anderson Hinke, Ethan Katz, Anthony Mauro, Tyler Sapienza and Kyle Smith – participated in the annual Polar Bear Plunge for the second consecutive year. Jumping into the frigid water at Crab Meadow Beach in Northport, the stalwart six raised $1,800 for the Special Olympics.

“We are so proud of our them for their commitment to community service and helping those around them, as well as having the courage to jump into that freezing cold water with snow falling around them,” Principal Christina Moran said.
