Last month, members of the Girls’ Group club at Locust Valley High School visited Sunrise Assisted Living, where they spent a meaningful afternoon doing spring-themed arts and crafts with residents. Each student paired up with a senior, sharing stories, laughter, and creativity as they painted, decorated, and bonded across generations.
This heartwarming visit was a beautiful example of the club’s mission to foster empathy, leadership, and connection within the community.
Up next, the Girls’ Group will host a bake sale after school on Friday, March 28. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Olivia Hope Foundation, supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer.
From small acts of kindness to impactful fundraising, these students continue to show how compassion and creativity can go hand in hand.
