About:

Wantagh, N.Y. – Members of the Adelphi University track and field program recently helped out at a Boy Scouts 5k Race taking place in Wantagh Park.

The event took place on Sunday, March 30 with sophomore Kelly Clifford bringing out some team members in support of her brother, Ryan. Ryan, an Eagle Scout and high school junior, hosted and directed the event as a project and fundraiser for the Boy Scouts. Kelly and several Panthers joined Ryan on race day to help pass out water at a stop on the course.

“We had a lot of fun doing this,” said Kelly. “It was cold, but a lot of fun and a huge success!”
