About:

The Mercy College women’s lacrosse team participated in the Out of the Darkness Walk presented by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at the Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island this past Sunday.

“I am extremely proud of our team for raising over $3,000 for this great cause that continues to bring awareness to depression and provide support for those who have lost loved ones to suicide” said Head Coach Dawn Anselmin.

The team raised the $3,000, by getting donations and doing 50-50 raffles during home volleyball, soccer, and field hockey games.

“It was great to see our girls excited about their efforts while showing support for the community” said Anselmin.
