Nassakeag Elementary School fifth graders helped to send well-wishes and thanks to the nation’s veterans by creating handwritten cards and letters.
The classes brainstormed ways to say thanks to those who have served the country. The completed cards will be sent to Georgia and then distributed to troops in various areas of the world who won’t make it home before the holidays.
“It gives us pleasure to spread positivity and gratitude to our troops, especially this time of year,” said teacher Darlene Lange, who helps to coordinate the project each year.
