More than $2,500 was raised in the fight against cancer by Great Hollow Middle School in its Great Hollow vs. Cancer event, held on Oct. 3.
The event, organized by Great Hollow Middle School field hockey coach Colleen McKillop, featured a day for the school teams to host a game, and students and faculty are invited to watch them participate in various after-school sports.
The football, boys and girls soccer teams along with the field hockey team all took part.
The Great Hollow kickline and cheerleading teams also performed, as did the cheerleading team from Smithtown High School West.
Donations came from students, teachers, staff and parents to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
