In an incredible act of generosity, Greeley’s own Zac Klein recently spearheaded an initiative to provide brand-new lacrosse bags to athletes of all abilities at Able Athletics. This impactful project was made possible through a collaboration with Adidas and the Runway of Dreams Foundation, highlighting the power of partnerships in making a difference.
The initiative focuses on empowering adaptive athletes by ensuring they have the proper equipment to excel in their sport. Thanks to Zac’s leadership and the support of his partners, these athletes now have high-quality lacrosse bags—removing barriers and fostering a more inclusive and supportive sports environment.
One volunteer therapist at Able Athletics shared a heartfelt moment from the program’s first inclusive lacrosse session:
“I was touched to see brand-new adidas lacrosse bags lined up along the gymnasium wall. Little did I know that one of our very own Greeley students, Zac Klein, was the driving force behind this initiative. His work with adidas and Runway of Dreams made this possible, and the athletes absolutely loved them!”
Able Athletics is a remarkable program, and its impact goes beyond just the athletes it serves. Several Greeley students have stepped up as volunteers, reinforcing a culture of inclusivity and support. Among them is Ben Carbone, a dedicated Able Athlete who continues to inspire with his passion and perseverance.
This initiative is a shining example of how young leaders can create meaningful change. Zac Klein’s dedication serves as an inspiration, and we look forward to seeing the lasting impact of this project on the Able Athletics community.
