The Community Cupboard Food Pantry plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families in need, especially during the holiday season. Partnering primarily with the Greater Boston Food Bank, the pantry receives its largest delivery of the year in the week leading up to Thanksgiving.
This year, Medford High School football student-athletes stepped up once again to assist with this crucial effort. On Thursday, November 21, the team gathered at the Unitarian Universalist Church on High Street to unload a significant delivery of 160 frozen turkeys and more than 3,000 pounds of groceries. Their hard work ensured the pantry was well-stocked to support local families during the Thanksgiving season.
The Mustangs’ dedication to giving back showcases the incredible impact that sports teams can have off the field. Through teamwork, compassion, and service, they remind us all of the power of coming together to help those in need.
