Students at Nassakeag Elementary School in the Three Village Central School District demonstrated their generosity and commitment to heart health by raising an incredible $19,729.04 for the Kids Heart Challenge. The event, organized by the school’s physical education department, took place in the two weeks leading up to February break, inspiring students to stay active while supporting a great cause.
Through their fundraising efforts, students contributed to the American Heart Association’s mission to promote heart health education and research. Leading the way in donations were Vincent Hunsucker, Jackson Saunders, Gianna Amarando, and Jonathan Kurzyna, with Derek Adams also among the top fundraisers. Their dedication, along with the enthusiastic participation of their classmates, played a crucial role in the success of this initiative.
Special recognition goes to Mrs. Kate Anderson and Mrs. Stephanie Troisi for their leadership in organizing the event and motivating students to make a meaningful impact in their community. Their efforts not only raised funds but also encouraged students to adopt healthy habits and learn the importance of giving back.
Nassakeag Elementary School is proud of its students’ hard work and generosity, proving that small actions can lead to big change.
