The New Hyde Park Memorial High School community came together for the ninth annual Pink It Up Day on Oct. 1. At the start of the school day, students and staff, decked out head to toe in pink, gathered in the courtyard for the annual pink ribbon photo, symbolizing unity and strength in the fight against cancer.
This event was created by English teacher Katie Kaspar, who is a 9-year cancer survivor.
