The Southampton Intermediate School National Junior Honor Society proudly participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 4, joining hundreds of community members in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, education and support.
Wearing pink and walking with pride, NJHS students, along with faculty advisers Kristen Minter, Mei-Lynn Guerrero and RoseAnn Gentile, came together to support survivors, honor those lost and stand united in the fight to end breast cancer. The event, hosted by the American Cancer Society, took place at Grangabel Park in Riverhead and served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community involvement and compassion.
During the month of October, NJHS members also organized fundraising efforts at their school to contribute to the American Cancer Society’s mission.
