Sending energy and thanks to first responders

March 9, 2021 By Team Up 4 Community Leave a Comment

The Builders Club at Woodland Middle School in the East Meadow School District worked to “brew up” support for first responders throughout the month of February. The club asked the Woodland community to donate K-Cups to benefit hospital workers and firefighters.

“The club sought to recognize first responders for their hard work and their readiness to put their lives on the front line for the community,” Builders Club co-adviser Rebecca Boettcher said.

Thanks to the generosity of the school community, the Builders Club was able to provide the everyday heroes with a much-needed boost of energy, as well as messages of gratitude.
