Malverne’s Davison Avenue Intermediate School fifth grader Erika Daly seized an opportunity to give back and is now the proud founder of the DAV Breakfast Club.
Every morning, a group of students collect unopened breakfast items from the classrooms to be donated to local families in need. These breakfast items include bagels, cereal, muffins, juice and milk.
The district is proud of her efforts to promote charity and community service.
