MIAA Community Service Challenge Ongoing
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Community Service Challenge for 2024-2025 is in full swing! This initiative honors and motivates student-athletes from MIAA member schools to participate in impactful community service projects, highlighting their commitment to making a difference. So far, 128 projects have been submitted, with over 7,000 athletes contributing an impressive 27,000 hours of service. The first phase of the challenge concludes on December 31, 2024, offering plenty of time for teams to join in and showcase their efforts to give back through volunteering, fundraising, and local initiatives.
Long Island Holiday Sports Impact Challenge Launch
We are excited to announce the launch of the 2024 Long Island Holiday Sports Impact Challenge, running until December 11th. This initiative invites teams to participate in holiday-themed community service projects, such as food drives, toy collections, and volunteering, to spread joy and make a positive impact during the holiday season. All those who enter have a chance to receive a scholarship or grant. $5,000 will be awarded!
Since its inception, Team Up 4 Community has engaged 598,989 participants who have collectively contributed 2,767,441 hours of service, valued at $23,384,873.
This incredible impact underscores the dedication of student-athletes to their communities, translating their time and efforts into real, measurable support—equivalent to an economic impact of $10,588,837.
Together, we continue to build stronger, more connected communities through the power of service.
