About:
The Yorktown Volleyball team recently hosted its Annual Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness game, an event dedicated to supporting the fight against breast cancer. This year, they were honored to welcome Horace Greeley to join them in this meaningful initiative.
Players, coaches, and fans came together not only to compete on the court but also to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The energy, spirit, and heart displayed by everyone in attendance truly embody the #FightLikeAGirl movement.
This event holds special significance for the Yorktown community. Proceeds from the game were donated to the Relay for Life – Eastchester chapter in honor of a local friend who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 32. Her family continues her fight, and the team’s support helps keep her legacy alive.
On the court, the excitement continued as Yorktown earned a huge victory over an undefeated Horace Greeley team, adding an unforgettable win to a night already full of meaning and purpose.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who contributed, cheered, and participated—your support helps make a real difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
