About:
The Frontier Boys Volleyball program wrapped up its season-long commitment to community and volunteerism with a meaningful trip to The Teacher’s Desk in Buffalo.
Coach Nick Penberthy shared that this particular service project held deep personal significance:
“I started volunteering with The Teacher’s Desk because my mom was a key part of the organization. She served as the volunteer coordinator and was a regular volunteer there prior to her passing about a year and a half ago. Doing this project helps less fortunate students in and around Western New York.”
Through their efforts, the team honored a personal legacy of service while helping provide essential school supplies to students in need — a perfect reflection of what it means to lead both on and off the court.
The entire program — including four teams (Modified 7th, Modified 8th, JV, and Varsity) — joined together for the project. On a Saturday morning, 58 athletes and four coaches volunteered for two hours, preparing supplies for PanchoPacks 2026, a program that provides school supply kits to children in need across the region.

This powerful day of service showcased not only the team’s dedication to their community but also the lasting impact of carrying forward a tradition of kindness, compassion, and leadership.
