The Random Acts of Kindness Club at Shore Road School in the Bellmore School District pursued a good cause to help community members in need in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Random Acts of Kindness Club, known as the RAK Pack, organizes student-led philanthropic pursuits throughout the year. In November, members organized a schoolwide food drive, challenging their peers to bring in different items each week. Shining Star Leaders throughout the school collected canned food, condiments and various Thanksgiving essentials. In total, the RAK Pack amassed more than 15 boxes of donations.
