About:
Student-athletes at H. Frank Carey High School recently came together for a day of teamwork, encouragement, and fun through the school’s Unified Bowling program.
The event brought together unified bowlers and their peer buddies, creating an inclusive environment where students of all abilities could participate, support one another, and enjoy the game. Throughout the day, teammates celebrated strikes, cheered each other on, and demonstrated the true spirit of sportsmanship.
Unified sports programs are designed to foster meaningful connections between students while promoting inclusion, understanding, and teamwork. By competing and participating side-by-side, students build friendships, confidence, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the bowling lanes.
A special thank you goes to the coaches who continue to go above and beyond every day to support the program and create opportunities for all students to succeed.
The Unified Bowling program at H. Frank Carey is a great example of how school athletics can bring students together, strengthen the community, and highlight that sports are truly for everyone.
