About:
Wantagh High School recently came together to promote kindness, connection, and mental health awareness by participating in PS I Love You Day. Led by members of the school’s Morgan’s Message club, the initiative encouraged the entire school community to “Be the Light” for one another.
PS I Love You Day is dedicated to fostering supportive environments where students feel seen, valued, and encouraged to reach out when they or their peers may be struggling. By taking part in the day’s activities, Wantagh students helped reinforce the importance of compassion, inclusion, and open conversations around mental health.
The Morgan’s Message chapter played an important role in raising awareness of student-athlete mental wellness. Through their leadership and advocacy, they continue to work toward reducing stigma and reminding peers that mental health is just as important as physical health.
Initiatives like PS I Love You Day highlight the positive influence student leaders can have in shaping school culture. By promoting messages of hope and encouragement, Wantagh students are helping to build stronger connections and create a community where everyone feels supported.
Their commitment to being the light for others demonstrates how small acts of kindness and awareness can make a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom.
