About:
Horace Greeley High School recently demonstrated the power of using athletics and service to support an important cause by organizing a Morgan’s Message dedication game alongside a community bake sale.
Morgan’s Message is a national initiative focused on breaking the stigma surrounding student-athlete mental health and promoting open conversations about wellness. Through their efforts, the club’s presidents and members worked to create an event that raised awareness, provided education, and offered support to their school community.
The dedication game provided a meaningful platform for student-athletes to compete while also playing for something bigger than the outcome. At the same time, the bake sale encouraged broader student involvement, engaging peers, families, and staff in supporting mental health awareness initiatives.
Teacher Brian Gold expressed his pride in the students’ leadership and commitment, recognizing the impact of their hard work in bringing the event to life. Their initiative reflects how young leaders can inspire positive change by organizing events that unite athletics, advocacy, and community connection.
By stepping up to lead both awareness and fundraising efforts, Horace Greeley students continue to show that service and teamwork can make a lasting difference — both on and off the court.
