About:
The John Jay Cheerleading program once again embraced the spirit of the season by coming together to support a local family in need through a cherished holiday tradition.
Both the JV and Varsity teams spent an evening at the Poughkeepsie Galleria shopping for gifts and essential holiday items for their adopted family. With wish lists in hand, the athletes carefully selected presents, groceries for Christmas dinner, and everything needed to help create a joyful holiday breakfast.
This meaningful initiative, which has been a part of the program for more than a decade, provides student-athletes with an opportunity to bond as a team while making a lasting impact in their community. The experience not only brings excitement and purpose to the holiday season but also reinforces the importance of empathy, generosity, and service.
Through their continued commitment to helping others, John Jay Cheerleaders are demonstrating that leadership and teamwork extend far beyond performances and competitions — helping make the holidays brighter for families year after year.
