The Westhampton Beach Girls Lacrosse team recently took the field for more than just competition—they played with purpose. Hosting a Morgan’s Message Dedication Game, the team brought their community together to shine a powerful light on student-athlete mental health.
Held on April 29 at WHB Turf, the event welcomed Westhampton Youth Lacrosse and the broader community to participate in an evening centered around awareness, support, and connection. Alongside their matchup against Harborfields, the team created an environment that encouraged open conversations and emphasized the importance of mental wellness in athletics.
Morgan’s Message, a national movement dedicated to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in student-athletes, served as the inspiration behind the game. Through this initiative, the players helped foster a culture where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health—something that continues to resonate across school communities.
