About:
The Commack Girls Lacrosse team recently used the power of athletics to support an important cause by hosting a Morgan’s Message Dedication Game focused on raising awareness for student-athlete mental health.
Taking the field against Connetquot, the team’s message was clear: “Today we play for something bigger than the game.” Through the dedication event, players worked to help break the stigma surrounding mental health while encouraging students, athletes, and community members to know they are never alone.
The game served as part of the nationwide Morgan’s Message initiative, an organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of Morgan Rodgers by promoting mental health awareness and fostering open conversations within the athletic community. By participating in the dedication game, the Commack athletes helped continue that mission while creating a supportive and compassionate environment for their peers.
