Eagles Rally Together for Breast Cancer Awareness
The annual Pink Out has become a special tradition for Irondequoit Volleyball, bringing together student-athletes, coaches, families, friends, and community supporters to make a positive difference.
This year’s event welcomed the Churchville-Chili Girls Volleyball program, highlighting how competing teams can come together in support of a shared mission.
The Eagles expressed their appreciation to everyone who helped make the seventh annual event a success, emphasizing that the occasion has grown into something much bigger than volleyball.
Through seven years of dedication and community involvement, the program has created a lasting tradition of compassion, teamwork, and giving back.
More Than $20,000 Raised Over Seven Years
The Irondequoit Volleyball Pink Out initiative has now surpassed an impressive fundraising milestone, generating more than $20,000 for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
The organization supports individuals and families affected by breast and gynecologic cancers, making the team’s continued fundraising efforts especially meaningful.
The Eagles are also keeping the momentum going with the Irondequoit Boys Volleyball Pink Out on October 27, providing another opportunity for community members to contribute to the cause.
Celebrating Success On and Off the Court
In addition to their commitment to community service, the Irondequoit Girls Volleyball team has enjoyed an outstanding season.
The Eagles finished the regular season with an impressive 18-0 overall record and 14-0 league record, heading into sectional competition undefeated.
Their success on the court, combined with their dedication to helping others, reflects the leadership, determination, and teamwork that define the program.
While the wins are worth celebrating, the lasting impact of their Pink Out tradition extends far beyond the scoreboard.
Making an Impact Beyond the Game
For seven years, Irondequoit Volleyball has shown how high school athletics can serve as a powerful platform for community involvement and charitable giving.
By raising more than $20,000 for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, the Eagles have demonstrated that consistent acts of service can create meaningful change over time.
