About:
We had both our JV and Varisty Team members help out with the clinic (10 JV and 12 Varsity) over two consecuative Sunday’s. Our players are in grades 9-12.
Our players worked alongside the youth helping run drills and provide instruction and feedback on the skills we were working on each
The camp was run from 4-6pm on two consecutive Sunday’s. Players that were able to attend both earned 4 hours of community service.
This clinic (which is in its second year) was for students in grades 3-6 in the Newark Central School District. Camp information was shared with all players who had signed up for our rec little league (through the Alex Eligh Community Center – AECC) and through our School Communication platform to anyone who was interested in baseball. Most of the current players on the JV and Varsity team, grew up learning and playing baseball through our rec program at the AECC and this is a great way for them to start giving back to their community and the game of baseball. This program has been a success and has been a rewarding opportunity for both our JV and Varsity Players, as well as the students in our community. (information Provided by Coach William Bean)
