About:
The Community Garden provides community members with an opportunity to grow fresh crops who may not have the yard space or access free from deer to do so. The area around the raised beds of the garden need to covered in wood chips. The students prepared the area by removing leaves and vegetable plant cages and by placing rotten cropos in the composter. They then shoveled wood chips into buckets, distributed them throughout the garden and spread them out. The group was at the garden for two hours getting it ready for spring planting.
