About:

We had 65 of our football players participate in the Mighty Moose 5K as a team.

MIGHTY MOOSE:
The Mighty Moose 5K is held in memory of Jenna Swaim, a loving mother and wife who lost her courageous four year battle to ovarian cancer on July 3, 2018. She was 43 years old.

Together, we will continue Jenna‘s legacy and vision to raise crucial funding for this cause. All funds raised will support the ovarian cancer research of Dr. Kevin Elias of Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Together we are making a difference!

Football players in grades 9-12 participated walked the 5K together in our game uniforms to show support for the community

We were there for 2+ hours.

Our captains were the ones who had the idea of all of us participating in the event.  One of our freshman player’s mothers is Jenna Swaim the person who this race/fundraiser was created.  Players were not asked/required to fundraise because we saw it more as a community-building/support event, but players on their own collectively raised $2,500 for the event.
