The caring young mathematicians of Deer Park’s John Quincy Adams Primary School, which includes student-athletes, knew they had done something wonderful earlier this year when they raised more than $8,900 in funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as part of the school’s fifth annual Math-A-Thon program, but the full extent of their charitable endeavor was not yet clear.
St. Jude recently informed JQA that it had earned a spot in the top 100 Math-A-Thon fundraising schools for the 2015-2016 school year, coming in at No. 86 in the entire nation.
