Student Athletes in the Student Council donates to Senator’s Toy Drive. The Student council members at Rushmore Avenue School in Carle Place are spreading holiday cheer this season by donating to a toy drive hosted by Sen. Jack M.
During the toy drive, which ran for several weeks at the school, students donated boxes of new, unused toys to benefit children at Winthrop Hospital. Sen. Martins visited the students on Dec. 15 to pick up the donations and speak about the importance of their generous acts. During his stay, the senator answered questions from the children and shared historical facts about the Senate.
