About:
Durfee is organizing two free clinics on Saturdays in April and May to showcase their program and the sport. They have observed that increasing participation has become more challenging since the onset of Covid, attributing part of this difficulty to the missed opportunities during that time.
The clinics will take place on their newly constructed stadium turf, with equipment provided for those in need.
All staff members will be volunteering their time for the betterment of the sport. The current team, along with the coaches, will oversee the stations, organizing activities based on participants’ abilities and age groups. The agenda includes basic instruction, fun games, and scrimmages.
Recognizing the financial constraints surrounding opportunities to play and learn, the program aims to bridge the gap by offering these clinics and potentially more throughout the summer.
The clinics are open to everyone, aiming to encourage community engagement and interest in field hockey.
