After Emily Crawford was appointed as the Varsity Coach, Andrea Gregory, the President of Owego Little League, and Greg Card, the VP of Softball Operations, approached Emily to conduct a clinic for the softball players of Little League.
They organize open gyms on select Sundays to prepare for the upcoming season. Many of the JV and Varsity girls currently on the teams have roots in Owego Little League, presenting an excellent opportunity for them to give back to the organization that honed their skills for higher-level play.
Coach Crawford  divided them into three groups, one for each Little League level, and in groups of 4/5, they led drills in hitting, fielding, and throwing. While all coaching staff were present to assist, the girls took charge. Additionally, they will volunteer their time at the Little League park to umpire minor level games.
