We are very proud of the efforts made by the FM Girl’s Soccer program to bring awareness and fight this terrible disease. This will be our second year hosting this fundraiser. We were inspired to take on this initiative as a tribute to my late father, Thomas E. Ostrander, who passed away from Alzheimer’s last fall of 2022.
He spent his career as a teacher, coach, and Athletic Director in the Central Square School District, so it only seemed fitting when we had the opportunity to play them in our schedule this year that we do this initiative with Central Square.
The coaching staff and team have been 100% supportive of our efforts to raise money. The girls have worked hard with the selling of admission, t-shirts, bracelets, and even baked goods. Last year we were able to raise approximately $2,100. We hope to exceed that number this year. All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
