About:
In a project aimed at giving back to those who dedicated their lives in service to our country, Minnesauke Elementary School fourth-graders in Kara Gorski’s class – which includes studnet athletes- rolled up their sleeves this winter to complete a community service project for local veterans.
During their traditional holiday party, the class embraced the spirit of giving and created care packages for those at the Long Island Veterans Home in Stony Brook. The packages consisted of toiletries such as soap, shampoo and dental care items, as well as washcloths and combs.
