About:
Exercise helps people have healthy hearts, which is why students at Lockhart Elementary School in the Massapequa School District spent the week jumping, running and fundraising.
During their physical education classes with teachers Joseph Catalanotto and Sandra Vacirca the week of Feb. 11-15, students participated in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. They completed various exercises involving jump ropes to show them simple activities to stay fit and healthy. Children and their families could also make donations to the American Heart Association.
