About:
In the East Meadow School District, Bowling Green Elementary School students participated in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart program to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease. On Feb. 9, students exercised their heart muscles for 45 minutes by jumping rope. Prior to the event, third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students practiced their jump roping skills and learned about the importance of nutrition, living a healthy lifestyle and fitness.
