About:
This is a community service that all 22 girls on both JV and Varsity are participating in. We are collecting canned goods at each home game, from fans and players and have asked opposing teams to assist us with their support as well.
We want as a program to facilitate a sense of community not only where we live but with our Volleyball community as well. We are supporting our local food pantry here in Mexico as we see students and families with in our community with a need for food stability within their home.
This is a season long community service that I believe in total my athletes in the Mexico Volleyball program will each have spent 5 hours which will include more than one delivery of canned goods to the Food Pantry.
We make sure that we thank our fans and opposing teams for assisting us with this community service and take a picture as a Volleyball community so that at the end of the season we can present the food pantry with pictures of those who supported.
