About:
This was our third year hosting our annual Goals for Giving Lacrosse game, in which the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team took the field to promote inclusiveness of the special needs population within our community.
With the help of Tom Miegel (Boys Varsity Head Coach), Tom Carew (Dawnwood Middle School Girls Lacrosse Coach) and Morgan Chiarenza (Girls Varsity Head Coach), the student athletes raised money to support our SEPTA program.
Due to the overwhelming response from players to help, they were able to sell raffle tickets, solicit sponsors, and bring the community together for a great cause.
This year, we were able to double the amount raised because of the athletes that worked diligently to make such a positive impact within our school district.
The goal of our event is to teach inclusivity for all, and to ensure that our players know that character is not just built on the field but the actions you take off the field as well.
We are very proud of our Athletes!
The event involved both high schools (Centereach and Newfield) and one of our middle school teams.
