Kyra was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a few years back and now as part of her senior project, she organized an awareness night on January 19th.
Kyra is not only a varsity basketball captain but also an active member of the softball team.
She successfully raised funds for JDRF through various means, including a raffle and online donations. Additionally, a portion of the admission proceeds from that night’s event were donated to the cause.
The gym was beautifully decorated, and T-shirts were sold, with all coaches and players proudly wearing them during warm-ups and the game.
