9/11/2001, May we never forgot those that lost their lives on that tragic day, as well as those that were effected by the loss of a loved one.
The PW Athletics Department is pleased to share that on behalf of The PW Football Booster Club a $500 donation ($250 in profit from the sale of the team’s annual 9/11 memorial football tee & a $250 match from the booster club) was made to The Tunnel to Towers Foundation (@tunnel2towers), an important organization that delivers mortgage free homes to America’s Heroes & the families they have left behind.
This donation has been made in loving memory of John “Pepe” Salerno, 9/6/70 – 9/11/01, Schreiber HS Class of ’88. A former Viking, Pepe was a very influential member of the Port Washington Community both while in school and well after he graduated. Pepe’s favorite quote was “There is no I in Team”. Let’s all remember those who left us far too soon, and be thankful for those who are still with us.
