About:
Each November, Bishop Feehan commits a significant portion of the month to collect gifts and wrapping paper right from within our homerooms. Our collaboration with the Saint Vincent De Paul society aids us in identifying families within the wider Attleboro area who may benefit from assistance in procuring Christmas presents. We extend a heartfelt invitation to these families to join us in our cafeteria, where our dedicated students actively participate in selecting gifts for their children. This evening is truly a remarkable and heartwarming occasion, and our Campus Ministry team invests considerable effort to ensure that the entire community can revel in a joyous and blessed Christmas.
To provide some perspective on our impact, we manage to provide an impressive 3,498 gifts, distribute gift cards totaling $9,200, and offer invaluable assistance to 140 families through our annual Santa Shop initiative. This initiative is dedicated to supplying Christmas gifts to local families in need.
It’s worth noting that almost the entire student body, totaling 1,098 students, contributes in some way to this cause. On the day of the Santa Shop event, more than 500 individuals come together to set up the event, which includes the process of transferring toys from storage on one side of the school to the other side, and then actively assisting the shoppers.
