For the second year in a row, Schroeder Hockey has participated in the Colin Montesano Blood Drive.
They view this event as an educational opportunity for their young athletes, teaching them the importance of contributing to a larger cause and educating them about organ donation, with some even choosing to register as donors.
Additionally, their involvement holds special significance for the Montesano family, as it serves as a way for the current team to pay tribute to one of their former players who has passed away.
It’s worth noting that while they participate, the event itself is managed by the Red Cross, so they don’t directly provide assistance in that regard.
