About:
Smithtown East Football players participated in an Athletes Helping Athletes Visitation at Tackan Elementary School.
The focus of the visit was on sportsmanship and making positive life choices.
Coach Dan Busold and the football players engaged with Kindergarteners by reading books, sharing their sports experiences, and coloring together.
Meanwhile, other members of the Athletes Helping Athletes team addressed similar topics with 5th grade classes in both the gymnasium and classrooms.
The event also featured a special appearance by Whisper the Bull.
In total, 27 students attended the morning session, with 7 football players and 20 AHA members present.
The visitation took place during the first period, from 9:30 to 10:15, and included all 5th grade P.E., Art, and Music classes, as well as all Kindergarten classes.
