A sea of green and gold blanketed the gymnasium at Ward Melville High School when Nassakeag Elementary School hosted their second annual Sports Spectacular, which raised $4,500 to support Contractors for Kids.
During the event, members of the school’s staff participated in fun sporting events in a gold versus green format while more than 400 spectators cheered on. Nassakeag sixth-grade teacher Sue Safranek once again organized the night. It not only aimed to bolster school spirit but also excitement for the district’s upcoming Contractors for Kids 5K walk/run health and wellness fair. This event will take place at Ward Melville High School on Saturday, April 16, from 8 a.m.-noon.
