About:
The Acton-Boxborough community is coming together for a night of spirit, unity, and purpose as two incredible events — Tackle Cancer and Cheerleader for a Night — to take place at Leary Field this Friday.
Both events aimed to raise awareness and honor those who are currently battling, have survived, or have been lost to cancer. The evening also will serve as a powerful fundraiser, with 100% of proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society to support life-saving research and patient programs.
During the game, AB Football will dedicate their performance to the fight against cancer, while AB Cheer invited students in grades 2–6 to join in the fun through the Cheerleader for a Night program. Participants learned cheers, practiced stunts, and experienced the excitement of performing under the lights — all while supporting a meaningful cause.
In partnership with Tackle Cancer Night, 50% of proceeds from Cheerleader for a Night are donated to the American Cancer Society, showing how teamwork and community can make a lasting difference both on and off the field.
The Acton-Boxborough community continues to prove that when athletes and fans come together for a cause, every cheer, every play, and every dollar raised helps make an impact.
