About:
At this year’s Homecoming Football Game, Sharon High School students Ben Harsfield and Nate Root turned school spirit into meaningful action. Together, the two student-athletes collected donations on behalf of the SHS Cancer Club, led by teacher Janine Giatrakos, to support cancer research and awareness efforts.
In just two hours, Ben and Nate raised an impressive $575, showing how small acts of leadership and teamwork can make a big impact. Their dedication exemplifies the spirit of service that runs throughout the Sharon community — using their platform as students and athletes to inspire others and give back.
A huge thank you to Ben, Nate, and the entire SHS Cancer Club for their commitment to making a difference. Your efforts truly embody what it means to lead with heart, both on and off the field.
